Teen Sewing Classes | Ages 12–17

Creative, practical sewing classes for teens who want to build their confidence, develop useful skills and create modern projects to take home.

Each 90-minute class features a guided project or technique. Projects may include tote bags, cushions, zipped pouches, accessories, upcycling and beginner dressmaking skills.

Students will develop accuracy, problem-solving and independence while learning about fabrics, patterns, seams, hems, fastenings and professional finishing techniques.

Previous experience is required: Students must have completed one of our Introduction to Sewing sessions or already be able to thread and safely operate their sewing machine. Basic machine operation will not be covered during these project sessions.

Class information

• Suitable for ages 12–17

• £15 per student, per session

• Fabric for the class project is included

• Students must bring a working sewing machine and basic sewing tools

• Sewing machines and tools are not provided

• Places are limited to eight students

Classes require a minimum of four participants. If the minimum is not reached, we will contact you at least 48 hours beforehand and offer either a transfer or a full refund.
